Online Card Classes:  Stretch Your Stamps 2

A few more cards that I made today (playing catch up) while taking another awesome class with Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire's Online Card Classes.  At this point, the various artists they have featured have just blown me away with all the talent.

This card is for the Bonus day regarding coloring smaller stamps.  This set is from Paper Smooches called My Peeps.  Stamped and colored with copic sketch markers along with some Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear sequins.

This next card is for the Graphic stamp category.  I used Lots of Dots from Simon Says Stamp in various ink colors from Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Another card from Day 7 & 8 in which I somewhat cased from Debbie Hughes.  I don't own the stamp set that was used but it was fun to try her technique in softer ink colors.  Really love how this card finished.

This next card was just fun to color.  I used Lawn Fawn's Happy Summer.  Multi stamped then Copic Sketch Markers to color the watermelons.  I just love those little ants in this set.  So cute.

Well back to work I go tomorrow so Days 9 & 10 will have to wait until the weekend.  My jaw dropped when I viewed all the artists and their creations today.  Not sure which I'd like to attempt first. Thanks for stopping by.
Online Card Classes:  Stretch Your Stamps 2

Well I have fallen behind on my homework after having to work the last 5 days.  I did however did get a couple hours to work on Day 5 with outline stamps.  I didn't own the stamp set the class worked with but just got in the mail a set that I just love from Paper Smooches called Blossoming Buds.

Here I inked in a dark grey then clear embossed.  Using water colors, painted in various colors to color the arrangement.  It's much easier to watercolor having a defined edge so that your color doesn't bleed outside the lines.  I also stamped the sentiment in a darker grey to finish the card.  My first attempt at water coloring.  Hope you have a wonderful day.  Thanks for stopping by.

Day 2 & 3 of Stretch Your Stamps 2 was very inspiring as they keep having various talented artists show their beautiful cards.  I decided to try Jennifer McGuire's and Laura Sterckx card ideas and give it a try.  This class is really amazing at getting the most use out of your stamps.  Enjoying this class tremendously.

Day 2 Laura showed us how to make a ombre effect card using resist embossing and distress inks.  I used Hero Arts Flower Dot Pattern along with clear embossing powder from Hero Arts.  Distress Ink colors were:  Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Stormy Sky.  Sentiment is from Avery Elle: Handwritten Sentiments.

This card was inspired from Jennifer McGuire's card featuring Perfect Pearls.  Using some black card stock-standard size card frame. Again using a Hero Arts cling background stamp applied VersaMark then perfect pearls.  The sentiment is a die cut from Lawn Fawn called Scripty Thanks.  It has such a pretty shine in silver and pink.  Wish I could have picked it up better with the camera.

Day 3:  Debbie Hughes was the guest artist today and I don't know about you, she makes the most exquisite, soft, and beautiful cards.  A style of her own that is for sure.  I decided to make a birthday card using her directions.  First I used a stencil from Memory Box and using embossing paste, added stars to the upper third of the card.  Balloon die cuts from My Favorite things, stamped the word HAPPY in three different colors all from Hero Arts ink pads.  Die cut the word Happy from Oh Happy Day and sponged it in tumbled glass.  The sentiment is from Handwritten Greetings-Simon Says Stamp.  The balloon strings were hand drawn using distress markers and distress inks were used in shading the balloons.  Adhered to a 3.75 x 5" card.  What nice dimension this card has using foam squares too.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful Day!

Another card class has started Online Card Class: Stretch Your Stamps 2.  It's Day 3 and I have gotten behind a bit.  So far I am amaze at the beautiful cards the designers have created.
Day 1 focused on background stamps.  I decided to case Kristina's and Shari's card.  If you haven't signed up for this class yet, I'd advise you to do so.  Just having these classes inspire you to come up with different techniques to bring your card making to the next level.

This first card was made using water colors and resist embossing.  The "thanks" die cut is from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment stamps from Simon Says Stamp.  Really a fun technique with beautiful results even though I changed it up a bit.

My second card from day 1 was inspired from Shari Carroll using tiles after inking and spraying with water to get a water color look.  This is so gorgeous in real life and will be duplicating this again with various distress inks.

Off to go play and create from Day 2.  Have a wonderful day.

Well I have been on a roll lately with time and making cards. I have been wanting to just sit down in my craft room and just play with stamps and techniques that I have been wanting to try.  I finally had a 3 day stretch from work to do just that.  I am sharing 6 cards that I made over the weekend.
Thank you for stopping.

I finally purchased the Hero Arts triangle die and using the template as a guide, placed the little triangles back into the template as I glued each one down.  I used DCWV 6x6 foil pad in 5 different colors.  I was inspired from Laura Bassen  as she made a card very similar to this.
I needed a birthday card for one of my sweet co worker's birthday this coming week.  As I was pulling some stamp sets out for my upcoming Online Card Classes: Stretch Your Stamps 2, I found this background stamp from Hero Arts: Flower Pattern and decided to white heat emboss then add distress ink in picked rasberry to blend.  Sentiment is from Avery Elle:  Handwritten Notes.  Such a pretty card if I don't say so myself.
I made these awhile back after viewing a video from Jennifer McGuire how she uses a background stamp with ink then shifts the cardstock either 1/4 inch in either direction to give it dimension.  I used the Hero Arts triangle background stamp and the sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.  Black heart is ranger's enamel dots.  These cards are great for placing in my work locker and hand out when that one person does those wonderful extra things to make my shift go smoother.  I think I go through these kind of cards the most.

These next 2 cards were me just playing around with the mod window die from Simon Says Stamp.  I again used some cardstock from DCWV foil pack and die cut all those little pieces out. Then using the template, glued them back in, removed the template and added some foil strips to butt up against the semi-circles.  These came out sparkly.  Stars and hearts are from the Bold Buzzwords: Paper Smooches.
This last card I used a new stencil from the Crafter's Workshop called Peacock Doily.  Using distress inks after taping down some watercolor paper, I stenciled, removed, added perfect pearls for some shimmer.  Added two strips of cardstock, added some pearls along with some twine to finish the card.  Sentiment is from Bold Buzzwords from Paper Smooches.
Thank you for viewing my blog.  Hope I am on a roll and it doesn't end soon.  Until next time.........
